    Tasting notes and information

    • Preparation

      To prepare an infusion of dried licorice, it is recommended to infuse it in hot water at a temperature of approximately 90°C (just before boiling) for 8 to 10 minutes. This infusion time allows for the extraction of sweet and woody aromas as well as active compounds, while maintaining a balanced flavor. You can adjust the duration according to your preferences to obtain a lighter or more intense infusion.

      For a hot infusion:

      Take 3 g (the equivalent of one teaspoon) for 30 cl of water, and let it steep in water (ideally filtered) heated to 90°C for approximately 8 to 10 minutes.

      ⚠️ Water that is too hot or an infusion that is too long can result in a flavor that is too strong or too sweet.

      For a cold infusion:

      Also infuse 3 g per 30 cl of water at room temperature for 60 to 90 minutes, or let it infuse overnight in the refrigerator for a refreshing, mild, and naturally sweet drink.
